Aircraft Ventilation & Dry Ice Guide
Aircraft-Specific Ventilation Rates and Dry Ice Limits.
I had a question, I don’t know the answer. Carriers (hopefully) publish on their websites cargo limit for dry ice stowage like this from United Airlines cargo website.
I would imagine that the limits might not only be aircraft type-specific (i.e. 787-9) but carrier specific as (perhaps) the ventilation rates would certain differ in cabin based on the interior configuration (I’m guessing) but might be the same for the cargo hold.
Can anyone shed any like on the source for aircraft specific dry ice limits? I’m assuming the aircraft manual or ops manual. If i’m bringing a new 787-X online, I’m assuming Boeing is going to provide that data in a document when I acquire the aircraft?
