IATA Cat 6 Airline Training (Acceptance Staff) 2026

This program is for FAA Part 121/135 carriers. The training is acceptable for the operator’s and ground handling agent’s staff accepting dangerous goods. This is a “Will Carry” Acceptance Level Airline Training Program and falls under IATA Cat 6 Equivalent. This is not the full 40 hour Cat 6 training program. Please contact us if you need the 40 hour program.
DOT Safety and Security Awareness included. A current copy of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and 49 CFR are recommended but not required. See our Frequently Asked Questions for more details.
Program Summary:
Learn the information and skills required for the operator’s and ground handling agent’s staff accepting dangerous goods.. This interactive online training program will provide you step by step dangerous goods training based on the IATA 67th edition Dangerous Goods Regulations (also known as DGR). Students will walk away with a clear understanding of how to utilize the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations to perform their job safely and effectively. It is recommended, but not required that students have a copy of the IATA DGR and 49CFR.
Certification Details:
This program was developed in accordance with the 67th edition IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and the current ICAO Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air. This is the regulatory compliance training required by all major air carriers including FedEx, UPS, and DHL.
TDG has provided certification in the ICAO and IATA air shipping rules since 1992. This training meets or exceeds the competent authority training requirements for competency-based training and assessment; TDG is NOT an IATA franchise or IATA affiliated training entity.
Who Should Take This Program:
IATA guidelines recommend dangerous goods training for any employee who is involved in the preparation, packing and/or handling of dangerous goods.
