IATA Limited Quantity Shipping Certification

This program is for employees shipping small inner packagings (including consumer commodities such as perfumery products, cosmetics, paint, aerosols) and limited quantity shipments in non-UN specification packaging by highway transport. This also covers IATA ID8000 (Class 9) consumer commodities. These are limited quantities of materials that are packaged in combination packagings in quantities of not more than 30 kg gross weight per package, with further limitations for inner packagings based on the packing group (PG) and other factors. Program Summary:

Learn the information and skills required to safely ship consumer type commodities by air. This interactive online training program will provide you step by step dangerous goods training based on the IATA 65th edition Dangerous Goods Regulations (also known as DGR).
This is a comprehensive program covering: using non-UN specification packaging, marking, labeling, and documentation. Students will walk away with a clear understanding of how and when they can take advantage of some of the exceptions available under the Limited Quantity provisions.

Certification Details:

This program was developed in accordance with the 66th edition IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and the current ICAO Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air. This is the regulatory compliance training required by all major air carriers including FedEx, UPS, and DHL.

Who Should Take This Program:

Hazmat employees involved in the preparation, packing and/or handling of items packed and distributed in a form intended or suitable for retail sales. This may include cosmetics (nail polish, perfumery products), aerosols, essential oils and fragrances or medicines.
