This program is for employees shipping magnetized material such as scientific equipment and large audio speakers by air. The training is based on the current edition of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations. The program includes the US DOT required General Awareness training; however, Safety and Security Awareness are not required. Program Summary:
Learn the information and skills required to safely ship dangerous goods classified as magnetized material. This interactive online training program will provide you step by step dangerous goods training based on the IATA 66th edition Dangerous Goods Regulations (also known as DGR). Students will walk away with a clear understanding of how to safely and effectively pack, mark, label and document magnetized materials being shipped by air. Magnetized materials are not regulated by ground and ocean.
Certification Details:
This function specific program was developed in accordance with 66th edition IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and the current ICAO Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air. This is the regulatory compliance training required by all major air carriers including FedEx, UPS, and DHL.
Who Should Take This Program:
All employees who are involved in the preparation, packing and/or handling of magnetized material. This includes shippers, forwarders and carriers.
